The shape of each pyramid have been grown randomly and none of them is the same, the structure is light but voluminous.

The project is the result of a paper work developed in a way similar to the origami.
The chair made of moulded plywood is divided in two main part the sit and the back,
joint together in three different point by metal sheets; so that the the back reinforce the sit.
The curves of the legs ar quite unusal in a moulded plywood chair and them symbolize the challenge for the production.

The wood choosen for the production is european oak.

SuOmia nasce da forbice e carta, in una sperimentazione di possibili sviluppi di un foglio tagliato e successivamente piegato. Il particolare orientamento delle gambe rispetto al piano di simmetria della sedia le conferisce resistenza

agli sforzi trasversali, lo schienale connesso alla seduta ne rafforza e completa la struttura incrementandone la stabilità. L’asse di piega attorno al quale le curve prendono forma determina con le venature un angolo inusuale, un andamento quasi pericoloso che ne identifica la sfida produttiva.

Un nuovo modo di pensare alla forbice ergonomica; la mancanza dell’occhiello inferiore, invita chi la usa a riconsiderare il concetto culturae di forbice e trovare un nuovo piacere nell’operazione di taglio.
